Your Toast Will Thank You

Our local fruit experts Mammy Jamias recently released 4 new flavours of fruit preserve onto the supermarket shelves, and Igoo had the pleasure of designing the jar labels for them. Ginger, green gage, quince and rhubarb now join the unique Mammy Jamia’s range, created by local couple Andrew and Sajmira Cairns. Their preserves originate from family recipes passed down by Sajmira’s mother, Jamia, and following huge success are now available at selected Sainsburies, Waitrose, Ocado and Tesco stores nationwide.

Client Spotlight – Outdoor Megastore

Earlier this year, Igoo provided retail giant Outdoor Megastore with the design and build of a bespoke new Magento Ecommerce website. Their existing site had become outdated, with old technology compromising the functionality, speed and administration of the site and a full web and brand refresh was commissioned. Outdoor Megastore operate in a competitive market and high performance in search engines is crucial. The latest SEO techniques were utilised in the development of the site to ensure strong performance, along with excellent on-site search and cross-selling facilities to help increase conversions. Rigerous preparation enabled a smooth transition from old site to new, with complete client and product data transferred and readily available in the new back office system.

The admin area of the Outdoor Megastore website features Ebay integration enabling full on-site control of their Ebay product line, including order fulfilment and stock management. Outdoor Megastore’s FED EX delivery system is also linked, speeding up the overall order fulfillment process. Following the website launch last January, Igoo provide on-going email marketing and custom support services to Outdoor Megastore including SEO, consultancy, design and development.

A New Brand For Thirteen & Minnie Bee

 
Thirteen & Minnie Bee is an independent ladies and childrenswear boutique located on Dale Street in Liverpool city centre. This unique fashion outlet needed a unique brand to match, and have been working with our head of design, Jack, to achieve just that. Star of the show, Minnie the French Bulldog now takes centre stage in a striking logo, and new branding will soon be rolled out over the boutiques’ shop interior, packaging and advertising. Also, look out for the new Thirteen Minnie Bee website, scheduled for 2013.

A Spotlight On Ecommerce With Accessories Online

Accessories Online is a designer jewellery store, and a perfect online success story. From humble beginnings in a Crosby living room, to a thriving ecommerce business with customers worldwide, the Accessories Online shop has gone from strength to strength and now achieves first page search engine rankings both for SEO keywords and stocked designer brand names.

Accessories first came to igoo four years ago looking for an overhaul of their existing site, and we have worked closely with them ever since on branding, website design, print design and advertising. This year we have also run a number of Facebook competitions for Accessories Online, which has helped their page to achieve over 9,000 ‘likes’.

Along with Facebook and Twitter buttons, the site has an integrated blog, FAQs section and includes custom built features such as ‘select your delivery date’, ‘create your own necklace’ drag and drop builder, and an internal returns management facility. The site’s One Stop checkout system boasts an on-site credit card payment facility and the option to remember your card details for faster check out next time, helping to improve customer experience and encourage return visits.

Unveiled, The New Alma De Cuba Website

We were pleased to launch the new Alma De Cuba website last month, which underwent a complete redesign and is now in version 2. The stylish bar and restaurant stands on the former site of St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Seel Street, Liverpool city centre, and prides itself on great food, a sensational atmosphere and an exciting events calendar.

Alma De Cuba know how to throw a party, and host some of the most extravagant nights in Liverpool. Their new website design aims to capture the energy, spirit and mystery of this unique venue with its stunning building and interior, and replicate the magic on-line. The introduction of a new blog, and updated features such as a live Twitter feed, and ‘latest media’ gallery ensure that the website is active and fresh, and keeps pace with the fast Alma De Cuba pulse.

Igoo also take care of print design for Alma, most recently their Halloween ‘Asylum’ advertising, and artwork for their Christmas and New Year’s menus, and events.

The Liverpool Gift Company Website

Looking for a scouse prezzy? Look no further. The Liverpool Gift Company is a brand new on-line gift shop specialising in Liverpool themed art and gifts. The shelves of this sleek souvenir stand are now stocked, and The Liverpool Gift Company is open for business. Igoo were happy to assist in the creation of this small but perfectly formed Ecommerce venture, and even acquired a little something for the office wall along the way.

With cards, gifts and prints from big names like Freida McKitrick, Greame Murray and Scouse Stuff, you’ll soon fill your boots and your basket. Also worth a mention, is that The Liverpool Gift Co shop features an exclusive, specially commissioned ‘Skyline’ range. A meticulously designed and crafted selection of sculptures unavailable anywhere else, and sold in the form of a glass paperweight, or a highly polished stainless steel panel – backlit for your pleasure.

Igoo are currently preparing for the launch of a brand new website for St Francis Xavier’s (SFX) Academy in Liverpool. Jack, our head of design, has been working closely with a focus-group of pupils and teachers at the school, to develop a user-friendly site that will provide a range of new on-line features for pupils, teachers, parents, governors, and future pupils of the school. The site will have log-in facilities, and will be kept up-to-date with all the current school news and information. Igoo will also be managing the newsletter mail-out system for SFX. Accessories Online Win a 404 Page Award!

Last year Igoo worked with Accessories Online to create a magical 404 page for their website, to make getting lost a little bit more interesting. Since then the page has been spotted by ecommerce consultants Open Plus who have awarded it “The best 404 page in the world ever” and written a nice little article about it… read me.
