Happy Birthday Weavers Door

Weavers Door celebrated its first birthday today with an event at the Cavern Walks shop featuring local music talent The Loud.

Only a year old, the newest addition to the L2 venue is already gaining the national respect it deserves with recent features in Esquire magazine and The Sartorialist.

The shop which was full to the brim of the 2011/12 Autumn Winter range left little room for the guests so they spilled over into the street who enjoyed food and drink provided by Amber Outside Catering.

It was great to see everyone who has been involved in the website and shop over the past year. We are looking forward to another successful year and excited to seeing the new brands lined up for the upcoming months. Happy Birthday Weavers!

Igoo clients feature in Juice FM Style Awards

Congratulations to 3 Igoo clients who have made it into this year’s Juice FM Style Awards. Chy Restaurant on Lark Lane and The Noble House Restaurant in the City Centre have both made it into the final 3 for Liverpool’s best restaurant award, while restaurant / bar Alma De Cuba is in the final 3 for the Liverpool’s top bar award.

Textbook…

Last week two of the igoo team Jack and Amy went back to school. Not for re-sits (although those French GCSE grades could’ve been better) but to teach the next generation the ways of the web world!

As part of a Creative Partnerships project, Jack and Amy went along to Hollingworth Business and Enterprise College in Rochdale to hold workshops in web and graphic design with a group of year 9 pupils.

The end goal of the project is to launch a website on which to showcase all the work that the Hollingworth pupils have produced. Practitioners in film production, video game creation, journalism, creative writing, sound production and radio dramas all held workshops within the school and participated in the project, so the website should be an interesting mixing pot!

In our final workshop the pupils worked on a name and brand for their project, now entitled ‘Project8’ (due to there being 8 distinct sections.) They came up with a fantastic logo and planned out the layout of their web pages. Watch this space to see more…

Goddardsaccountants.co.uk Launches

3, 2, 1… the launch of www.goddardsaccountants.co.uk is here. The igoo design team have been working alongside father and son partnership Alan and Matthew Goddard to create the perfect online home for their accountancy company, Goddards Accountants.

Goddards is a family run company offering a full range of services for businesses and individuals. Started in 1990, the company has gone from strength to strength and now runs from offices on Ormskirk Road in Knowsley Village.

With integrated seo, igoo has used Goddards existing brand to create a fresh new web presence for the company, making it easier than ever for clients to locate, contact and utilize their services.

Accessories Online Blog is short listed for Cosmopolitan award

The online blog for the Accessories Online store front has been short listed as the best in its category for eTailers.
The blog, only launched at the start of 2010 has grown remarkably and attracts visitors and guest posts from across the world.

Sneak Peak at Upcoming Project

Igoo have teamed up with Scottish illustrator The Boy Fitz Hammond to create a unique and appealing website for YPOP Liverpool. The Liverpool Young Persons Opportunities project who are based in Speke’s Parklands centre chose igoo to develop their website which will be aimed at getting children and young adults in the Merseyside area into educuational and vocational programmes.

The illustrations capture the subjects tought in the project and will be used throughout the website.

Launch is expected at the end of April…

igoo stats now detects mobile devices

We’ve been detecting most mobile phone models for a few months now, and we just rolled out an update which makes this information available to all of our website statistics customers. We are also providing a general hardware report, showing the top phone models used to access your web site. These are grouped by operating system family, as you can see in the second screenshot below.

This data has also been added to the “Platforms” dashboard module (renamed from “Computer”), and has been added to the iPhone mobile interface as well.

Daisy UK featured on Channel 4 TV Program ‘Secret Millionaire’

Daisy UK, one of igoo’s longest standing clients, appeared on TV’s ‘Secret Millionaire’ last night on Channel 4.

Daisy UK’s involvement with the Channel 4 TV programme “Secret Millionaire” has been a big boost to us being able to achieve more of our aims and reach more people. While its been a huge boost its still just the beginning and if you’d like to find out more or get involved with Daisy then we’d love to hear from you.

Daisy UK teach disability awareness through inclusive sports and having been along to see their workshops first hand, we can say with confidence that the work they do is truly amazing. Well done guys!

A/B Testing is now available in our emarketing software

It’s been a long time coming, but today I’m excited to announce that our new A/B campaign testing feature is now live and available to all of our clients, new and existing.

We’ve made sending an A/B campaign just as easy as sending a regular one. You can test different subject lines or sender details in a matter of seconds, and the best part is, you learn something from every single test you run you do.

One of my favorite new features that come with the A/B testing update are benefit estimates. Basically, after the test is run and the winning version is sent to the remainder of your subscribers, we’ll look at how much better the winning version performed in your test and extrapolate that across the rest of your campaign results. These benefit estimates will give you a great indication on the total benefit gained from running the test.

To mark the (re)opening of their new store in church street liverpool, Topshop have called on HOYFashion to do some style scouting in and around the area.
